Bonjour, namaste, hello, we are Bérangère & Gilles.

We are a French couple with a zest for life.

We sold our restaurant in Strassbourg in June 2019, which gave us the opportunity to slow down, unwind and relax. We went to India, Goa, on holiday. On the first morning we woke up early, walked 10 meters down to Palolem beach from our hut – and we just fell in love with the place. It was love at first sight with the gentle lapping of the waves, the friendly people, the susegad lifestyle, the food, the nature, the pace of life.

We found our new home in Sadolxem, a tiny friendly village, where we created Villa Pont Bleu your home away from home.

Named after the famous blue bridge (“pont bleu” in French) over the Talpona river. For Gilles and Bérangère water brings calmness and a sense of going with flow. They invite you to Villa Pont Bleu to experience the calming effects of shanti Goa and enjoy balmy evenings that are soul nourishing.

Our philosophy

We want you to feel at home in our cozy yet spacious Villa. Whether it’s a romantic honeymoon, a family holiday, or a “workation”, Villa Pont Bleu can match your needs and preferences.

Our years of experience in hospitality means we can craft a tranquil yet personal space. We use our own standards and experiences to design the ultimate home away from home, right down to the smallest details. Villa Pont Bleu’s home experience is carefully curated to match your expectations with modern amenities and is lovingly decorated with a keen eye for design.

We both have a natural sense of curiosity & aesthetics, and we have always loved meeting people from different countries. When we were not traveling or raising our children, all we could think about was living abroad. If we were not sleeping or working, we were planning our next dream destination. It makes sense that we ended up realising our dream in South Goa with Villa Pont Bleu.

We spent a few months refurbishing and decorating Villa Pont Bleu – a true labour of love. Villa Pont Bleu is a remote villa amidst the jungle, close to the calming waters of the Talpona river, amongst swaying palm trees. It’s a haven of serenity where the loudest sounds are that of chirping birds and the occasional mooing cow, India’s sacred animals that are freely roaming around.

You can spend a day on each of the gorgeous sandy beaches and go for a walk or a swim, relax on a sun bed, have lunch or dinner with your feet in the sand, do watersports such as kayaking, take a boat ride, or join a yoga class.
